I don't much have much experience with the Injen intake kit however the PCM is throwing a code for the MAF sensor then it makes it hard for the computer to adjust for proper fueling as the MAF is used to tell how much air is flowing through the intake.
Also if you ever have a check engine light on its a very bad idea to "hammer the throttle"
